About Feldenkrais method
The Feldenkrais Method is a movement-based approach focused on developing self-awareness, improving movement efficiency, and releasing tension through gentle and mindful movements. Named after its founder, Moshé Feldenkrais, the method is based on principles of neuroscience and biomechanics, helping individuals enhance coordination, balance, and movement patterns without unnecessary effort. The practice includes individual sessions or group lessons guided by verbal instructions, allowing participants to become more aware of their movements and discover new, more efficient ways of moving. Suitable for all ages, the method benefits everyday movement, sports, dance, and rehabilitation.

Key Benefits of the Feldenkrais Method:
Improved movement coordination and balance
Tension release and reduction of musculoskeletal pain
Increased flexibility and movement efficiency
Greater body awareness and self-perception
Support for recovery and rehabilitation after injuries
Reduced stress and enhanced mental calmness
Better posture and prevention of muscle and joint strain

About Me
My name is Anita Žáčková. I studied physiotherapy and have been professionally dedicated to it since 2015. Physiotherapy encompasses various methodological approaches, and every physiotherapist—someone who primarily cares for the musculoskeletal system—searches for their own path and philosophy that makes sense to them and proves effective. I am no exception. Over the years, I have observed the need to return to fundamental questions of self-perception when addressing musculoskeletal issues. Recognizing that the body is more than just a tool, returning to natural movement, and understanding who I am and what I can allow myself at any given moment have become essential.
I was significantly influenced by the psychosomatic approach at the Roseta Center for Comprehensive Care, where I have worked since 2017. This experience broadened my perspective on health, integrating the body with psychology and spirituality. Another key influence has been Clara Lewitová's Physiotherapy of Function, which has inspired my practice with its naturalness, gentleness, and emphasis on experience. Additionally, my long-standing involvement in a nonprofit summer camp community has shaped my values—fostering motivation, communication, care, self-respect, and a love for nature and simplicity.
Then I discovered the Feldenkrais Method, and I immediately knew it brought together many of these elements. I have been exploring this "many" firsthand since 2020, deepening my knowledge through a four-year Feldenkrais Method training in Prague since 2022. From June 2024, I officially share this approach—gradually and in my own way—with my physiotherapy patients, clients in group classes, and, for much longer, with friends and family in everyday and deeper conversations.
It makes sense to me to continue—expanding my education, learning more about the body and its wholeness, and refining how to help others better understand themselves. My goal is to empower each person to do more of what they love, pain-free and joyfully.
